Course Description
Resus4Kids – Paediatric Life Support for Healthcare Rescuers is a blended learning program. It is comprised of an e-learning module followed by a 90-minute practical session.
E-learning - participants must successfully complete the e-learning module and receive a pass mark of 19/22 in the post-course test in order to attend the practical session.
Practical - the Resus4Kids short practical course is a 90-minute face-to-face session that provides participants with the opportunity to practice the skills and knowledge covered in the e-learning. Its brief duration enables participants and instructors to be released from their departments with minimal disruption to patient care. Where possible the Resus4Kids course is taught in an interdisciplinary setting.

About Resus4Kids
Resus4Kids is managed by Kids Simulation Australia under the governing body of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, offering training and education across the nation.
The Resus4Kids programs are designed to be taught in local healthcare facilities by local qualified Resus4Kids Instructors.
How to get access
NSW Health employees
- Resus4Kids is available to all NSW Health employees via My Health Learning, by searching the term ‘Resus4Kids’.
Non-NSW Health employees
- Resus4Kids is available via an alternative portal, Resus4Kids Training Portal.
- Your organisation will need to contact the Resus4Kids Program Manager to arrange access and there may be a charge for this.
Resus4Kids is ARC 2016 compliant and includes optional e-learning modules on intraosseous access, the 4Hs and 4Ts, abnormal cardiac rhythm management, Paediatric Intubation, Neopuff and a train the trainer refresher module.

Resus4Kids has developed advanced e-Learning modules which are available to all users as part of the Resus4Kids Paediatric Life Support for Healthcare Rescuers. The advanced modules are optional, and completion is not required prior to attending the Resus4Kids Paediatric Life Support for Healthcare Rescuers practical course. They provide learners with extra knowledge in relation to the management of a paediatric collapse.
