Paediatric Emergency Update

Hosted by The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, the biannual Paediatric Emergency Update returns on Wednesday 21 May at the Lorimer Dods Lecture Theatre.

This event is tailored for the Multidisciplinary team looking after children in the community and in the hospital including, General Practitioners, Nurses, Paediatric and Emergency trainees, Ambulance and Retrieval services, Emergency Physicians and General Paediatricians. The aim is to update skills and knowledge around paediatric emergency healthcare featuring subject matter experts and guest speakers.

What's new in the May Update?

  • 8 mainstage lectures delivered in person and streamed to our online attendees, covering the latest in paediatric ED presentations
  • Full day programme covering a wide variety of topics.
  • Keynote presentations that will take a deep dive into high blood pressure in children & adolescents, bites and stings, supporting the teenager in an emergency department and Inotropes in ED.
  • Morning tea and lunch provided to facilitate networking opportunities (in-person only).
  • Streaming option is available to offer flexibility to our remote attendees.
  • 4-month access to recordings available to registered attendees (subject to speaker consent).

All profits are re-invested into educational resources in the Emergency Department at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for training and development of healthcare professionals.
